Jon Sheptock was born in New Jersey in 1976 with a very unusual affliction. He had no arms and a short right leg. He was truly more than his birthparents could handle, so the evening he was born. they turned him over to the State.

Six months after being placed in foster care, Joanne and Rudy Sheptock adopted Jon. Feeling led by God, they created a home where unwanted and disabled children could feel loved, safe and secure. The boy who once had no parents, would now have 33 siblings.

Jon has been through more than any able-bodied person could possibly understand. The stares, abandonment issues, excruciating self-doubt, and incessant ridicule, became Jon's norm. In his teenage years, he had a particularly hard time knowing where to fit in. It was in those darkest hours, that he began to contemplate suicide. Consumed with hopelessness and paralyzed by fear, he instead turned to the only other available option. He gave his life fully to Christ, and found that with God, anything is possible. Through the years, he learned to adjust to his disability and developed alternative ways of dealing with life. Strengthened by Phillipians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” he was able to overcome any adversity set before him.

In the midst of these miraculous developments, Jon had also found one special gift. He found his voice... He could sing! He started singing and visiting churches at the early age of 3. Jon has had the opportunity to share his testimony with thousands. He has sung with Bill Gaither, in prisons, schools, churches, foster/adoption events, civic events, men conferences, National Anthems for the Houston Texans and Astros and many more.

He also is the lead singer of the band One Percenters. It is an ever growing prison ministry that he is very proud to be apart of. When the band started, they played for roughly 40 men. When word spreads that they are going to play in the units they visit, every service is packed to the maximum inmates allowed in the room. It has truly changed thousands of Men's lives who feel they live in a hopeless environment and world. He has also been asked by Bill Glass, who worked with Rev. Billy Graham, to be a platform guest on many Weekend of Champions for His Bill Glass Ministries which focuses on bringing the gospel to inmates across America.

With his wife and 3 girls, Jon continues to live life to the fullest. He chooses to daily surrender his will to God, the one who created him. His motto is “Making Life’s Challenges - God’s Victories:”, and this, is also the emphasis for his success.

What I Believe:

The Scriptures:
I believe the Bible consists of the 39 Old Testament and 27 New Testament books; that every word has been inspired by God and thus, in the original manuscripts, the Bible is without error.  Because the Bible is inspired by God it is the supreme and final authority for our faith and conduct.  There are no other writings similarly inspired by God.  (II Tim. 3:1617II Pet. 1:2021)

The Nature of Man:
I believe that man was created innocent and in the image of God, but that he sinned, bringing both physical and spiritual death to himself and his posterity.  I believe that man has inherited a sinful nature, is alienated from God, and thus unable by his own efforts to please God and is in need of salvation. (Gen. 1:27Rom 5:12Eph. 2:1-3)

The Trinity:
I believe in one God eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—who have the same nature and attributes but who are distinct in office and activity, and who are worthy of the same homage, confidence and obedience.  (Matt. 28:19II Cor. 13:14)

I believe that salvation is a gift of God and is received by man by personally trusting in the death of Jesus Christ as an adequate substitute for the penalty of sin. I believe that man is justified by grace through faith apart from works.  I believe that to accomplish salvation God elected some prior to creation, sent Jesus Christ to purchase their redemption through a substitutionary death, and draws the elect unto belief through the working of the Holy Spirit.  (Eph. 2:89Jn. 1:12Eph. 1:7Rom. 5:8Jn. 3:16).  Those who have been justified will spend eternity in heaven, while the unregenerate will suffer doom in the lake of fire.

Eternal Security:
I believe that all who have received Christ as Savior are kept secure forever.  (Rom. 8:3839Jn. 10:27-30)
